Career
Dr. Lenhard studied biology at the Ruprecht Karls University in Heidelberg from 1994 to 2000. Her studies focused on molecular biology. During her studies she worked on HIV-diagnostics during the course of an internship in the Department of Assay Development at Chiron Diagnostics, Emeryville, CA, USA. She completed her degree in 2000 with the diploma thesis “Characterisation of naturally occurring variants of the X protein of the Hepatitis B Virus”, which was carried out at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg in the Department of Applied Tumorvirology.
From 2000 to 2001 Dr. Lenhard worked in the Institute of Molecular Virology of the GSF-National Research Center for Environment and Health, Neuherberg, on a scientific project for the production of recombinant modified Vaccinia Virus Ankara (MVA) expressing antigens of the Hepatitis C Virus (HCV). From 2001 to 2003 she worked on her doctorate at Medical Clinic II of the Clinic Großhadern at the Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich. She completed her PhD with a thesis entitled “Development of a screening assay for detecting tumor DNA in the stool of patients having colorectal carcinoma”.
Dr. Lenhard was admitted as a German Patent Attorney in 2007 and as a European Patent Attorney in 2008, after completing her training at Müller-Boré, the German Patent and Trademark Office and the Federal Patent Court.
Dr. Lenhard has been with Müller-Boré since 2003. She became a partner in 2011.
