Career
Dr. Wada-Kröck studied chemistry and pharmaceutical sciences in the University of Tokyo, Japan. From 2001 to 2003, she worked on a masters thesis in the field of medicinal chemistry at the graduate school of pharmaceutical sciences in the University of Tokyo. Her project was to design, synthesize, and evaluate PKC inhibitors having phorbol skeletons.
Dr. Wada-Kröck received her doctorate in 2006 at the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Tokyo, with a thesis entitled “Development of Catalytic Enantioselective Allylation of Ketones and Ketoimines Using Chiral CuF Catalyst.” From 2003 to 2006, she received a scholarship from Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).
From 2006 to 2008, Dr. Wada-Kröck was a postdoctoral fellow at ETH, Zürich, Switzerland, where she was involved in oligosaccharide syntheses, with the aim of developing vaccines for malaria and tuberculosis. Her postdoctoral work was supported by a JSPS postdoctoral fellowship for research abroad. From 2008, she worked as a medicinal chemist in a pharmaceutical company in Geneva, Switzerland. Dr. Wada-Kröck became a European Patent Attorney in 2015.
Dr. Wada-Kröck successfully completed the 2021-2022 CEIPI diploma course on Patent Litigation in Europe.
Dr. Wada-Kröck has been with Müller-Boré since 2010.
