Career

Dr. Anne Kunz studied atmospheric physics at the Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz. Afterward, she prepared her dissertation at the Forschungszentrum Jülich and, in 2009, she received her doctorate in physics at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal (summa cum laude).

For her doctoral thesis, Dr. Anne Kunz performed measurements of climate-relevant trace gases by means of world-leading measuring instruments on research airplanes during international measuring campaigns, e.g., in Greenland.

From 2010 to 2011, Dr. Anne Kunz was a scientific associate at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder (CO, USA). Her work at NCAR was supported by a Leopoldina Postdoc Scholarship. Afterward, Dr. Anne Kunz worked at ETH Zurich until 2014, where she managed her own EU-research project with the topic “Dynamical Processes in the Tropopause Region and Their Influence on the Distribution of Atmospheric Trace Gases“. Moreover, she performed measurements of climate-relevant trace gases and pollutants in urban areas during her time at ETH Zurich. Since 2015, Dr. Anne Kunz works in the field of patents.

Dr. Anne Kunz qualified as a German Patent Attorney in 2021 and as a European Patent Attorney in 2022, after completing her training at Müller-Boré, the German Patent and Trademark Office, and the German Federal Patent Court.

Dr. Anne Kunz has been with Müller-Boré since 2017.
