From 2015, Simon Dischl studied physics and management with a focus on technology and process management at the University of Ulm and completed his bachelor's degree in 2018. He wrote his bachelor thesis at the Institute of Quantum Optics at the University of Ulm in the field of experimental generation and investigation of single-photon sources.
Simon Dischl began his master's degree in physics in 2019 at the Ruprecht Karls University of Heidelberg with a focus on environmental physics. Simon Dischl wrote his master's thesis as part of a project on groundwater investigation in northern parts of Estonia, with which he completed his master's degree in 2021. His thesis dealt with the experimental investigation of different hydrospheric tracers and the determination and dating of groundwater flows based on them.
In between and partly parallel to his bachelor and master studies, Simon Dischl worked in the consulting segment of PricewaterhouseCoopers GmbH WPG in Frankfurt a. M..
