Career

Tim Nebas studied electrical engineering and information technology at the Technical University of Munich from 2009 to 2012. He wrote his bachelor thesis in the field of nanoelectronics at the Chair of Technical Electronics of the Technical University of Munich. Subsequently, he attended the Sheffield Hallam University in the UK, where he earned a Master of Science in Sports Engineering in 2013. His research project entitled, “A smartphone based system for kite and board measurements in kitesurfing”, was awarded the Centre for Sports Engineering Research Prize and was later published in the ISEA Conference of 2014.

After graduation, Tim Nebas worked at the Centre for Sports Engineering Research at the Sheffield Hallam University and at the Professorship of Sport Equipment and Sport Materials of the Technical University of Munich, where he developed measurement systems for medical and sports applications.

In 2014, he co-founded a start-up company with the objective of bringing a pioneering avalanche safety system to market. As Chief Technical Officer, he was responsible for product development of hardware and electronics, manufacturing and industrial property rights.

Mr. Nebas qualified as a German Patent Attorney in 2021 and as a European Patent Attorney in 2022, after completing his training at Müller-Boré, the German Patent and Trademark Office, and the German Federal Patent Court. 

Tim Nebas has been with Müller-Boré since 2016.
