Career

Dr. Rocke studied physics at the Albert Ludwigs University in Freiburg and the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. He completed his degree in 1994 with his thesis entitled “Acoustoelectric effects in lowdimensional electron systems”, after which he spent a semester at the University of Texas in Dallas studying electrical engineering and microelectronics.

He received his doctorate in 1997 at the Institute for Experimental Semiconductor Physics of the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich for his thesis on the “Electrical and optical characteristics of semiconductorheterostructures in intensive sound fields”. His doctorate research was awarded the 1998 Walter Schottky Prize of the German Physical Society and he was the runner-up for the Philip Morris Research Prize in 1998.

Dr. Rocke qualified as a German Patent Attorney and as a European Patent Attorney in 2001, after he was trained at Müller-Boré, the German Patent and Trademark Office, and the German Federal Patent Court.

Dr. Rocke has been with Müller-Boré since 1998, and became a partner in 2002.
