Career

Dr. Hain began his chemistry studies at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität of Würzburg in 2005, where he received his diploma in 2010. During his studies, Dr. Hain held a scholarship awarded by the State of Bavaria, which was supported by the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Max Weber Program). In his diploma thesis carried out at the University’s Institute of Physical Chemistry, Dr. Hain investigated the optical properties of DNA-dispersed carbon nanotubes.

For his doctoral thesis, Dr. Hain remained at the University’s Institute of Physical Chemistry to continue his studies on supramolecular carbon nanotube conjugates, and further extended his research to include the development of experimental methods for characterizing nanoscopic systems through fluorescence spectroscopy and fluorescence microscopy. For his work in this field, Dr. Hain obtained the doctoral degree in natural sciences from the University of Würzburg in 2015.

Dr. Hain qualified as a German Patent Attorney in 2019, after completing his training at Müller-Boré, the German Patent and Trademark Office, and the German Federal Patent Court. In 2022, Dr. Hain qualified as a European Patent Attorney.

Dr. Hain has been with Müller-Boré since 2015.
