Dr. Christoph Brenninger

Career

From 2009 to 2014, Dr. Brenninger studied chemistry at the Technical University of Munich. During his studies, he completed a six-month internship in the field of drug discovery at a global pharmaceutical company. He completed his studies in 2014 with a master’s thesis entitled “Brønsted Acid Catalysed [2+2] Photocycloadditions“.

For his Phd, Dr. Brenninger continued his research in the field of synthetic organic photochemistry at the Technical University of Munich in 2015 and completed it in 2019 with a thesis on "Brønsted Acid Catalyzed Photoreactions on Sulfur Containing Heterocycles". In this research, he was working on the structure and photochemical properties of various cations formed from heterocycles and the development of new synthetic photoreactions using Brønsted acid catalysis.

Dr. Brenninger qualified as a German Patent Attorney in 2022 after completing his training at Müller-Boré, the German Patent and Trademark Office, and the German Federal Patent Court. In 2023, Dr. Brenninger qualified as a European Patent Attorney.

Dr. Brenninger has been with Müller-Boré since 2019.
