Career
Mr. Schmidt served from 1998 to 2012 as officer in the German Air
Force. In 1999 Mr. Schmidt began his studies of electrical engineering
at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich, having the
focus on information technology. In 2003 he finished his studies with
the thesis „Reengineering of a simulation software for optical fiber
calculation“.
After studying electrical engineering Mr. Schmidt
received the qualification as aircraft electronics officer and
programming officer, and worked as test engineer and project manager in
the field of avionic software development for the fighter jet Tornado.
From 2009 to 2014 Mr. Schmidt was working for an intergovernmental
armament organization in the field of In Service Support Eurofighter.
Furthermore,
Mr. Schmidt began studying for a Bachelor of Laws at the University of
Hagen in 2005, which he successfully completed in 2011.
Mr.
Schmidt qualified as a German Patent Attorney in 2017, after completing
his training at Müller-Boré, the German Patent and Trademark Office, and
the Federal Patent Court. In 2019, Mr. Schmidt qualified as a European
Patent Attorney.
Mr. Schmidt has been with Müller-Boré since July 2014, and became a partner in 2024.

Mr. Schmidt specializes in electrical engineering and computer science, in particular in communication systems and computer-implemented inventions.
