Dr. Hans Laub

Career

From 2003 to 2008, Dr. Laub studied chemistry at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. During his studies he spent several weeks in a scientific workgroup at Boston College, working in the field of olefin metathesis. He finished his Master degree in 2008 with his Master Thesis “Nucleophilicity of Supersilyl Substituted Allylsilanes and Silyl Enol Ethers”.

He prepared his PhD thesis entitled “Structure-Reactivity Relationships in Unsaturated Organosilanes and Ynamides” from 2009 to 2014 at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. During his PhD studies he collaborated with scientific workgroups located in Germany, Belgium and the USA. As a doctoral candidate, he focused his research on important building blocks of organic chemistry and discussed structure-reactivity relationships of the same on the basis of kinetic and synthetic studies.

Dr. Laub qualified as a German Patent Attorney and as a European Patent Attorney in 2018, after he was trained at Müller-Boré, the German Patent and Trademark Office, and the German Federal Patent Court.

Dr. Laub has been with Müller-Boré since 2014, and became a partner in 2024.
